For this project, I have decided to collect a range of images based around a subject that I am very passionate about; and that subject is 'Music Culture'. I have loved music from a very young age, and I started collecting music related items (starting off with t-shirts and CDs) from around the age of seven. As this is the year I am going to be applying for university, I would like to complete a project that is to a high standard, and that can be featured within my creative portfolio. And, I feel that conducting a range of shoots around something that greatly inspires me, will enhance the overall quality of my work, as well as my drive and motivation that I will have towards the project. As well as my passion for music, I am also very proud of some of the things I have collected, as they involved me getting a job in order to be able to afford to pay for them myself. I also enjoy travelling across the country to attend music shows, and I attended my fisrt show when I was eight years old; I went to see 'Busted' at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

Not only would I like to base shoots around band performance, I would also like to document my own collections inspired by different artists who I found for myself during a brief research task that I conducted. During this activity, I found four artists that I am going to be taking inspiration from based on their composition, choice of subject matter, and editing techniques:

- Jim Golden (Collection/Vintage Photography)

- Adam Elmakias (Band Performance Photography) 

- Barbara Kruger (Conceptual creations - I will be taking inspiration more so from her editing styles rather than her images that are used in conjunction with the editing)

WITHIN THIS PROJECT,ALONG WITH COLELCTING IMAGES DURING MY SHOOTS, I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO LAUNCH MYSELF AS A PHOTOGRAPHER THROUGH SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES SUCH AS FACEBOOK AND TWITTER. IN ORDER TO DO THIS, I WILL BE MAKING MY OWN ACCOUNTS, PLANNING MY OWN SHOOTS, AND COMING UP WITH A LOGO/WATERMARK TO ACCOMPANY MY OUTCOMES. 

As I am going to be studying Graphic Design at University in September, I would like to follow through with a project that is quite Graphics orientated, so I can get more practice in this field before I am studying the subject full time.
